Jaaz Multimedia released the first poster of the new film “Dohon” starring Puja Chery, Azmeri Haque Badhon and Siam Ahmed. Directed by Raihan Rafi, this is Puja Chery’s third film after “Noor Jahan” and “Poramon 2.” In the poster, a man holds a handmade bomb and faces a crowded street with ranks of commercial buildings on both sides. Two young men jump away from burning vans, running for their lives. The poster reveals little information about the characters, as the stars are not present in the dystopian scenario depicted there. Inspired by true events, the movie hasn’t declared any possible release date yet. The announcement of this film took place in a star studded event in Dhaka on Monday. At the event, Chery said she worked in a garment facility for a whole week to prepare for her character.
Badhon said: “I lost 16kgs in total. But the hardest challenge for me was to learn to ride a bike. I also sang to train my voice for the role.”

Popular actor of the small screen Siam Ahmed, who earned huge popularity among new generation with his acting skills and young actress Puja Cherry started shooting of their new film Dohon.
The duo stood before camera for the shooting of the film at a shooting place on the bank of Turag River on Thursday.
Siam Ahmed portraying the role of Tula and Puja will play the role of Asha in the film.
The shooting of the first lot of the film will end on June 11.
Written by Delwar Hossain Dil, Raihan Rafi is directing the film Dohon.
Besides this, Siam Ahmed’s debut film ‘Poramon 2’ will be released during Eid ul-Fitr. In the meantime, the actor has completed the shooting for ‘Fagun Hawa’ directed by Tauquir Ahmed.
Commenting about the acting in Poramon 2 and Dohon Siam Ahmed said, “We will bring our project Poramon 2 in cinema hall on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. We will try to present a good film through a basic story. We are urging to our audience to watch the movie in Cinema Hall.”
And in the movie Dohon, the audience will be seen a different Siam, he added.
On the other hand Puja said, “I have impressed with the response of viewers after the releasing of the song and teaser of the movie Poramon 2. I think audience will enjoy the movie very much. And Dohon will also be a good one.”

The Raihan Rafi directed film Dohon is set to be released on October 5th. The film stars Siam and Puja Cherry. This duo's first film, Poramon 2 was quite a hit after it was released last Eid-ul-Fitr. Siam and Puja's acting was what made that film successful. Poramon 2 is still being screened in many movie theatres. Zakiya Bari Mamo is also seen alongside Siam and Puja. Dohon is a movie that raises political and social issues.
Siam plays a young drug addict, and Puja plays a garments worker. Zakiya Bari Mamo plays a reporter. Siam said about the film, “The character I play is named Tula. People call him 'Harami Tula.' I worked very hard for this project. I had to wear dirty clothes and had to spend a lot of time alone. I tried to become the character. Audiences will get to see a different Siam in this film. I tried very hard to make this perfect.”
Puja Cherry said, “I worked extremely hard for Dohon. To see how garments' workers live and talk, I visited a garments factory. I believe that movie-goers will enjoy this film.” The producer, Adbul Aziz from JAAZ Multimedia said, “The first film we produced, Bhalobashar Rong, was released on October 5th, 2012. Since then, we have released a lot of movies. On the anniversary of the release of JAAZ Multimedia's first film, Dohon will be released. Dohon is a dream movie for us, and we are hoping that it will do good.”
